12. Laconic, mathematical mother says not much. (2000-06-08)

A man asked a woman about the age of her three children.

"The product of their age is 36. Do you know how old they are?" "No."

"The sum of their ages is equal to the house number in front of us. Do you know how old they are?" "No."

"The youngest has blue eyes. Do you know how old they are?" "Yes!"

How old are the children? Tell me what you think. [ write ]

If you think you have too little information, think of Tikkanen and Socrates:

"I have all the information I need, now I want to know what this is about" Henrik Tikkanen (1924–1984)

"My my, so many things I do not need" Socrates (470-399 BC)
